Title: 69 Z on home page
Post by: Kelley W King on October 03, 2011, 07:47:08 PM
Thanks Steve and the CRG guys. Wow, my green car was on the home page last month and now my Z this month. I am honored to have a car on CRG,s page much less both of them in a row. Guess I need to take Saturday,s offer on my GTO and look for 1 3rd 69 camaro for next month. Thanks again.

Kelley, the car looks great is the color black or burgundy as it's hard to tell from the pic. What is the history on the car?

Sonny,
The car is actually a custom color called Monte Carlo Magic by Standox. It is one of those that changes colors in different light. It is kind of purple but changes to green, gold, and blue in different light. I bought it after a frame off in 01 with intensions to paint it it,s original fathom green but it was so well liked at local shows I did not do it. It is said to be a Scuncio car but tracing the ownership stops in the 80,s with a guy named Looney from Newport N.C. Everyone there remembers him but cannot find him. It is an X33/D80 08e car, no console, center fuel guage, deluxe interior, rosewood wheel car, with original interior less carpet and front seats showing what I believe to be 64,000 miles. It has a NOM 302 DZ and the original BU rear and is a real ralley sport car.The restoration photos show all original metal with patches on the quarters and the windshield and rear window. It now resides in Durham, N.C.
