The 3917610 aluminum intake manifold used on '67 & '68 Z/28s has a square boss on top of the coolant runner at the right front corner. Usually stamped on this boss is what I assume is an inspection stamp from Winters Industries. What I find interesting is I have not seen two manifolds with the same stamp. The original intake manifold on my '68 Z/28 is stamped with a capital U surrounded by a circle. The intake from the spare '68 Z/28 engine I have is stamped with a capital V. The attached photo is from an intake on Ebay now, it is stamped with a capital Y. I'm curious, what's stamped on your 3917610 intake manifold?

Wow, first double digit number stamp I've heard of. In fact, I haven't seen a double character stamp either.

We have a match! First one I'm aware of. How close is your VIN to 8N391571?

My car is an O4A build date, VIN N407310
so a 15739 difference in the VIN

Mine is not stamped on the right front corner. Instead it is stamped 55 on the on top of the square boss of the right middle coolant runner. I don't know the date code of the intake or anything about the car it came off of. I just have the intake. I've owned it since 1986. Hope this helps you.

That's exactly where mine is stamped 55 at.
