Title: Original length of air injection tubes?
Post by: clm69z28 on September 04, 2011, 04:50:28 PM
TheCRG smog information indicates that the  "air injection tubes were short pipe extensions (2-13/16 inch long) that were installed before the air manifold was installed".  The "correct" replacement parts that I bought are 2 3/16 inches long. Which is the correct measurement for the 69 Z application?

I believe you answered your own question. CRG's report states air injection tubes measure 2-13/16" long. Last paragraph...

I'll have to dig out some of my tubes to confirm I didn't make a typo.
Are you making the system functional?

2-13/16" long is correct.  I just measured the ones on the spare '68 Z/28 engine (8N391571) I have.
