Bill, you have a 396/325 with manual transmission. The engine was assembled on September 25th, 1967 at the Tonawanda, NY engine plant and installed in a 1968 Chevelle (or El Camino) assembled at the Baltimore, MD plant.

Only if the car was originally delivered to Canada. They kept all the records.

You also seem to be missing a digit in the VIN. 124678N45557x ??

Both, the 8 and a number digit after the N.
