I am posting this for dschwantz

"I just found a 1969 copo camaro block. stamp on pad is TO425MN date A-3-9 vin# 19N647850 I would like to reunite with car if it still exsits but if it doesn't exsist, it will be sold. this block has not been decked, it is standard bore, it has a sleeve in cylinder#1 (it was done many years ago) the crank is still standard, there was a set of 7/16 dimple rods and what i believe are 12.5:1 pistons in it. if anyone is interested please E-mail me at dschwantz@comcast.net I can E-mail pictures to those that are interested. thanks"

Very cool, I hope the car still exists and this engine gets reunited with the car.

You might go to MVD & ask them if they would do a nationwide search for the vin. If it come up they won't give you any information except maybe tell you what state the car is from...it's a start...Joe

Don't they say, " A thread ain't worth nothing without pictures"? ... :)   OK I posted there too

I agree 100%, but Kurt would prefer us not to post pictures of original stampings so we don't create a reference library for would be forgers.    :)

Good to know.. I would have never guessed since Kurt comments on stampings all the time on TC
