Title: Just got to know
Post by: Rod67 on June 08, 2006, 01:58:09 PM
After reading some posts where people have came across POPs and are being good enough to try and reunite cars and documention, i just have to ask, if anybody out there has the original engine (T0617MW) or tranny (P7H27) for my 67. I know the odds are slim to none on this, but if i didn't ask i would always wonder.

Thanks for your time
Rod

Rod,
To know for sure, you would have to give your vin# because the partial vin# would have been stamped on both the engine and trans.
That being said, your are kind of looking for a needle in a haystack, but it is always worth a try :)

Hey Daniel, I read somewhere that 67's often did not get the partial VIN's.  Is that true?  Randy

Yes, on the 6-cyl and 327 cars most don't have the partial vin#, but the partial vin should be on all SS and Z's.
Just to be clear, this only holds true for 67's.

Sorry about that, i believed partial vin's on all 67's were rare, didnt know it was just on 6 cyl and 327 engines. (learn something new everyday) My partial vin is 7N251602. Maybe i'll get lucky.

Thanks for the responses
