I have a fan clutch with a stamp on the water pump flange that reads B0372SC. I'm having trouble decoding it using the julian method. I picked it up used because it had a nice looking fan on it so its not real important. Thanks for the help.

Schwitzer fan clutches didn't use the Julian dating format - they used a conventional calendar method (see photo below of 4-18-68-dated clutch). I think you'll find that the 'B" is really an "8", making it 8-03-72. "SC" stands for Schwitzer Corporation.

Here is the stamp. It looks like a B

How about Feb 3rd, 1972?
Mine is formatted just like the one John posted, including the spacing.

Schwitzer may have changed the format after 1968 - that's as far as I've tracked the dates.
