Title: "Mareena or Mariner"

My friend insists the colour on his '67 SS/RS (marina blue) is pronounced "mariner blue".
Is this correct?

No. If it was pronounced "mariner", it would be spelled "mariner". It's MARINA ("mur-een-ah") blue.
