I thought you guys would get a kick out of this. I was removing the "war" paint from my car and found the original strippes were under the candy apple red the car was painted when it was a drag car. I also included a couple of pics of the firewall to show the original overspray and the holes for the RS and ZL2 options. Note the hole for the roll cage that was cut out with a torch. The car was butchered through its life, having the inner door panels, inner quarter panel, and rear packing tray cut out. I also included a picture of the leaf springs. I have read that few Z's did come from the factory with 5 leaf spring in the rear. I do not know if these are the original as a ford 9" is now installed. Any thoughts would be welcome if you believe they are original or not, and would help me piece the car back the way it originally was.

Rear springs are aftermarket.
