Title: 1969 z28 inside the trunk

other than the speckle paint on the floor and sides  the exposed sheet metal behind the seat and the sheet metal on the upper part where the defroster and speaker would go was it bear metal or is it painted.

You will see that just about everything was installed before spatter painting and nothing was masked off. In reply's #4 & #19 John posted some pics of his un-restored Z28...excellent reference.

The top you asked about was primed & painted. Although not very well, a lot of the primer wasn't covered with paint. If I get a chance I'll post a couple of pics.

Pics of the area you asked about. You can see it wasn't what you'd call high tech. Pretty much point the gun in the general direction and hope for the best. You can see how much primer is still exposed.

I am sure I fulled everyone with the primer exposed comment :-\? Can anyone offer advise on how to neutralize or keep the obvious rust at bay?

Does the Camaro's Plus paint need to be sealed? I just got a quart from them
