I'm looking for pictures of some original seatbelts for my 67 with deluxe interior. Also, what would be "correct" seat belt tag info. The car is an 01E car. Thanks!!
-
If you email me your email address, I'll take a pic of one the seat belts in my 11E car for you.

Deluxe or standard interior doesn't matter.
Does matter if you have deluxe or standard belts. Trim tag will tell you...... IIRC, you have standard belts.
Model 214 fronts, 211 rears.

Thanks Kurt. I wasn't sure if the belts changed from standard to deluxe along with the interior. I do have a deluxe interior, but the cowl tag doesn't have a code for deluxe belts. Did the standard belts have retractors? Black buckles? GM or Fisher emblems? Would the date on the tag be for the year the car was built (1967) or the model year? I'm trying to get it as correct as possible, even though my car will never be all original because of it's missing drive train.
Thank you Brian for sending me the pictures as well!!!!

As a reminder, images can be attached to posts and don't have to be e-mailed.

For your 765 interior:
retractors
black belts and buckles
GM emblems, I believe.
1967 is printed on the labels, with the appropriate date code stamped on the label.
Article is mostly written, I need to finish it up......

Chris, the pic's I sent was a deluxe seat belt, I thought you had deluxe one's. Sorry for any confusion. Sincerely Brian ( I didn't notice those fancy smancy new CRG features like inserting pics, this place is getting real cool!)
-
No problem at all Brian. You only sent me what I asked for and I'm thankful.
Kurt, I think the GM emblems might be correct, that's what the ones attached to the back seat are. I had thought someone might have had changed them for some reason. What is an acceptable date variance for the date code to the build date? A week?
-
Your originals were probably dated the same as your rears. Sometimes see them 2-3 weeks apart.
-
Thanks again Kurt, I'll try to dig my rear belts out of one of the boxes they are in and see if they still have the tag on them. Sorry it took me so long to reply.

Here are mine from a Nov 66 (11B) car 5Y on the cowl tag and deluxe interior folding seat

What color would deluxe belts be for a bright blue deluxe interior? And would all belts have the same "name" e.g. Hamill or Irving or whatever? Thanks, Randy
-
Std and dlx belts for bright blue interior were bright blue.
Deluxe belts would be Hamill's.
