Title: 1969 B.U. 3.73 rearend
Post by: wisemanz28 on April 02, 2011, 02:10:26 PM
I've been searching for a rearend for my 1969 Z28, I've come across one, it has a casting date of D-28-9 and a production date of 0702G2 BU. My cars motor is stamped August 25th and the build date on my vin tag is 091 (09A). I wanted to ask the members if this would work for my car. Thanks

I have 4 09A Z/28s in my db and July 2 is far too early. The engine date is a good indicator of what you need.

I've been looking for a rear end for this car for a long time. This is the closest one that I have found.

Buy it and keep looking. I was continually swapping out parts on my last Z/28. Never did the last 837 alternator upgrade so it has been on a freinds' L78 for 23 years.

Agreed, buy the rear end, install it and keep looking for something that will work better date wise. You can always sell this part for the same if not more than what you paid.

Thanks, I've been thinking about buying that rear end, although the price seems steep. $ 3500.00
