Was there any other spot for the vin stamp on the block other than above the oil filter? Thanks

On a 6 cylinder it's just aft of the distributor.

See THIS (http://www.camaros.org/images/pages/decoding/1967-69_L6engine_stamp_location.jpg) for the exact location.

Nope!

On 1967 Camaros, generally only the Z28 and SS engines had the partial VIN's stamped.

Hey Pat my VIN is on the Block deck, but mine is a 250. Mine is also a Norwood car.
