Title: 69 clock bulb
Post by: 69z28302 on March 21, 2011, 12:18:29 AM
I just got my clock back from being repaired. Went to put it in and the bulb socket wont fit. I have the blade type bulb in it that is oblong and it seems to bottom out. What bulb does it take? Rick's shows a console bulb but mine has a connector with the "push in" not twist bulb.

Thanks CRG
Mike

Looks like a 168 bulb

For reference to other vehicles.

That looks like what I have now. The socket just wont fit in the clock though. It's like it's too long

Thanks

Mike

The AIM indicates part# 9425542 {bulb}...you must also have the correct Wire Assembly/Socket; part# 6297523 {note; the adjustment knob is a part of the wire ASM}

Looks like the clock base itself has been hot and is slight concave in it. I"ll have to figure out something to make the socket stay in the housing
