Title: no cowl tag

I just purchased a 67 and the cowl tag has been removed is there any way  to find out what options this car had without it it is basically just a shell no interior motor or trans any help would be greatly appreciated

If your 67 doesn't have it's cowl tag then I seriously doubt if you have a Protect-O-Plate. If by chance you do have it, a lot of information concerning options can be had. If your car has the original Rear Axle you can at least find out if it is a BB or SB. Another way this site can help is if you are able to post pics of your cars engine bay, undercarriage, and interior, perhaps a couple of 3/4 shots & your Vin #. Although the Vin does not have any information with regards to options, at least you will know if it is a 6 or V8.

Your Vin# can also be useful because CRG has one of the most extensive data bases known for First Gens. Who knows...maybe someone here will recognize your Vin.
