Probably one of, if not the nicest 69' Z/28 I have ever seen. Holy Crap Batman!! It went to 100K and someone must have made the magic offer. So the auction was ended. Sure would have liked to see it go all the way. Anybody know this car, or it's owner? I have to say I am just blown away, as this is my dream color. And a JL/8 on top of it. I guess you can see I am excited.....Danny

Repro tag and I believe repro drivetrain too.
Whenever you see a black 69, look close......

WOW!! You just let the wind WAY out of my sail's........ How can you tell about the cowl tag? I can't even hardly see it in the picture. Have you seen pictures of the cowl tag and drive train numbers of this car in the past? It seems like this car has been around a while..... Danny

Yup, it's been around before....

Danny, there is obviously issues with this cars authenticity. It is a very cool looking car but way to many questions than answers.
-
Kurt,
Would it be posible for you or someone to post a pick of the trim tag? By the looks of things this car has fooled quite a few people.

This is as good as the eBay image gets..

How about this one from May of 2005.

Kurt/Mark...Repro tag as in repop? The font certainly doesn't look correct & the completely authentic hounds tooth interior should be Ivory Standard...
-
Well, that's ok for now. I was just excited seeing the black 10 10 code and the JL8. But we don't have to get into any more detail. Thanx everyone, I am over it........Danny

with all the knowledge and resources available at CRG it still baffles me that a car that has raised issues in the past, can still get that kind of money......
ps I used to work for Adressograph-Multigraph back in 72 when I was a student. We used to print out all kinds of metal tags just for fun when we were bored. Dog Tags, Hospital tags, Credit Card embossers, etc. We threw out a lot of old machines... heck if I had wanted one they would have given me one. Who would have known.
