Title: Rear leaf springs
Post by: JKZ27 on February 25, 2011, 12:40:59 AM
Hello all, I'm getting ready to change the rear axle in my 68 from a 10 bolt mono to a 12 bolt multi leaf. My question is, has anyone had any experience with the reproduction leaf springs on the market? There seems to be a few options ranging from the cheap 5 leaf replacement to the "correct" 4 and 5 leaf repros. I'm not building a show winner but I like my car to drive great and look great. Ideally, the 4 leaf correct repro would be my preference but, are they worth the extra money? Are the cheaper replacements decent and consistant? Anyone ever use the Eaton Detroit springs? I really drive the car so handling is important(maybe like a stock Z). I like the stock ride height too.
Thanks for any input.

John

Read this John...  http://www.camaros.org/forum/index.php?topic=5915.0

Also, do a "rear leaf springs" search for more information.
