Here's the link and it looks like a restamp.

Thanks. It's real, but the car's not in the database.

Thank you Ed for all you do, just looks like the VIN is wacked up, but I'm no expert.
I guess I should think before I type. ;)

Don't feel bad John. I've been doing this for several years now and I still can't tell a real one from a restamp! I always have to ask the guys.

Well, in the minority again, but it may be real cause it exists, and good
cause its clear and a nice restamp, but my .02 says its not original.
The engine code is a good restamp original looking stamp, but they
need to work on their vin re - stampings. I hope no member
from here got took.
-
Yep, it's real.
-
What of the pic makes you think its real? The vin has 3 things wrong with it.
Not to mention the nice looking decked pad.

It comes with many years of experience and lots of engine stamp pictures in the database!

Better update your database! I decided just 2 years ago to start keeping pics of engine stamps
and discovered a couple things with original engine stamps that just dont hold up with restamps.
-
Thanks for the advise but I think 15 years worth of pictures (over 25 years for Jerry) and almost 20k cars in the database tells a little different story. However, if you would like to send us what pictures you have, we'd be happy to accept them.

Blow up the pic of the engine pad...if it had been decked you would not be able to see the "Broach Marks".

It's a real stamp. No question.

Plenty of factory stamps that had all sorts of things "wrong" with them.

Thankyou for the offer Ed, but not at this time. I will keep working on studying engine codes
and just want it to be noted that I respectfully disagree with the consensus.
