Lets take this 1 step farther, I have did a search on this to no avail so here is the question, I am sure this has been touched on, With VIN number 654549 in mind when would that little darling been built, car is 6A, so June car, I played with numbers yesterday and with Jerrys book in mind the diff. between VIN sequence in his book and my VIN and putting out 366 cars a day it looks like JUne 3rd is this right Joe ::)

Is your car built in Norwood? Have you read the assembly process report on CRG home page? Any way try this link and read several more links included.

Yes it is a Norwood car
-
It was built 52 working days after my #606402, which was built on February 27, 1969; Norwood built 912 units per day. That puts your car in mid-May.
-
does not jerrys book start with 650000 first week June, saying this from memory
-
The problem with guessing Norwood units is that they also built Firebirds. So the 912/day is a mixure and no one knows what that mix is.
Based on GM last VIN off the line monthly records, your car was built late in the first week of June, maybe early in the 2nd.

And probably shipped about 6/15 or so....

Oops! Forgot about the Firebird mix (again). :-(

Yup - Firebird production started April 14th at Norwood.

Looking at each month's production totals you can see the drop starting in April. Looks like 3-4K Firebirds per month based on the Camaro production total drop.
