Title: Searching For Previous Owner
Post by: IZRSSS on February 16, 2011, 07:27:31 PM
pjbizjak gave me an idea so I thought...what the hey.

I am trying to locate a previous owner of my car. All I know is that he owned the car back in 1998, and is or was from Guthrie Oklahoma. His first name is Jim, possibly Native American. He sold the car to a man from Big Springs, Texas. From what I understand, Jim sold the Camaro to buy a ZL1 corvette.

The car is a 1969 RS/SS L48. For those who don't know its the special paint car painted GM Code 80 {Powder Blue/Azure Blue}.

I realize this isn't a lot to go on but maybe something will pan out. Thanks for any help you might be able to give.

From what I understand, Jim sold the Camaro to buy a ZL1 corvette.

I doubt it - only two ZL-1 Corvettes were built, and I know the owners of both of them; one was the original owner until he sold the car last year, and the other one has been in the same hands for many years (I had breakfast with him a couple of weeks ago).

Well...I spoke to the guy that gave me the above information. Took a while but I think he has the information straight now, so lets try this again.

Jim is not from Guthrie Oklahoma, he is from Midwest City, Oklahoma. And as usual, John is correct...Jim did not sell the Camaro to buy a ZL1, he sold it to buy a ZO6.

Thanks John

This is a pic of the owners manual that came with the car. I am hoping someone can tell me what is written on the back. Don't know but maybe this will lead to something. I tossed in the other pic in to show that it is an original manual. I realize it might not be the one that came with the car but what the heck...

Probably won't lead to the previous owner but maybe to the original owner or the dealership. :-\

Looks like 14328 / VO for 17 min (Voice Over for 17 minutes?) Could this be a key to the lost Nixon tapes???

Or maybe JO or UO?

Oh, and of course Hi Folks!

As I was saying before we were hacked, or what ever it was that occurred. ??? :-\

Thanks for "VO For 17 Minutes"! I would of never have figured that one. Makes sense...I think. At any rate, I was hoping maybe someone could tell me if the #14328 is a reference number for a dealership? Or do you think it is only a seance code for RN?

At 14,328 miles, they ran the JO, VO, or UO for 17 minutes.

That easy, it's a list of problems the mechanic discovered when he was inspecting the vehicle...
