What's the correct placement for the Camaro Emblem on an SS car? I have an original fender (I think) to use to create a template on a virgin OEM fender for holes, but on the original the holes look like it will not place the emblem straight, instead a little at an angle (slightly). Are these supposed to be straight / parallel to the fender line and the ground or a little at an angle? Also, is the placement the same on an SS and a non SS car?
Thanks, Steve

Maybe this will help...

Measurements...

Those AIM dimensions are near worthless. They all reference from a pair of imaginary lines that you do not have.

The picture is helpful as are the hole sizes. I have to admit looking at the AIM dimensions I am lost as to how to use them other than as a template creator - the tilt and location aren't really specified. Looks from the picture to level not tilted any.

The body inch lines (designated by the numbers in the circles) were part of the GM Body Dimensional Grid system, which was used to set the body up on a surface plate for height-gage measurement vs. the design master. Those inch lines are perfectly vertical and horizontal in a 3-dimensional grid system.

thanks John, I that helps decipher the information - I'll take it over to the shop this morning.

I believe these are the two main reference points...
X and Y axes {15 & +5} are there simply to keep your holes perpendicular to one another...
