Big or small block?
I do believe BBCs were part number 14058915
These were at least GM over the counter. Not sure if they ever were installed on production cars. 1966-1970 is their production era which points to Corvette.

No aluminum water pump was ever used in production, but they were available as over-the-counter performance parts.

i didn't think they were ever on an assembly line car. and i can't find any evidence of over the counter. any ideas as to were to find, at least a picture of one.
I have a 1966 casting dated one with the winters snowflake and everything, i'd just like to have some idea of it's origin. military part ?

They were listed in the Off-Road/Performance/"Heavy-Duty" supplement - not in the regular P&A books.

Depending on how "production" is defined, vintage photos of ZL-1#1 being race-prepped at Dick Harrells' shop show a long-style aluminum coolant pump. Only the first 2 ZL-1s had it, remainder used production iron pumps painted black.

Both of these cars had pilot engines built at Flint with a "V" prefix.

Charley Lillard has one of these aluminum pumps on his latest '67 Z. Another friend of mine has one or two of them also. They are out there occasionally but as of right now, I don't know what the original application was.
