Title: 68 tic toc tac
Post by: monaroman on November 24, 2010, 09:42:55 AM

Hi there,

Here we go.

I have a tic,toc,tac set up on my 68.

The clock and tac are not functioning (self contined unit).

My 68 AIM shows a wire from the negative of the distributor coil (brown i think) as part of the control circuit for the clock and tac to work. This wire is not connected.

At present the wiring at the coil is, Negative- black that goes to distributor and black the goes to capacitor. Posative- white wire that goes to fire wall connecting block.

Is the wiring set up correct? She has been mucked around abit.

If someone could post some photo's perhaps that would be a great place to start.

Cheers.

The brown (tach signal) wire goes on the negative (-) terminal with the black wire to the distributor, and the radio capacitor lead goes on the positive (+) terminal with the white wire from the firewall connector.
