Title: Dash Pad color?
Post by: 68camaroconvert on October 27, 2010, 03:11:03 PM
The Dash pad for the IVY Gold interior doesn't appear to be the same as the seats. Does anyone have the correct color for this dash pad?

You are correct.  The dash pad, pillar post moldings and sun visors with an Ivy Gold interior are usually a darker green.  I'm not sure that anyone is making them in the correct color.
If you are re-dyeing, you could get the pad scanned and then have the dye mixed to match.

I used something similar to Dupont 9480... I used a different brand of paint.  It was a good base color to get the dye made.  I think it's very close.  I think the equivalent Fisher Code is W30A3722.   My sun visors are the same as the headliner with slightly darker lace edging.  The pillar post molding is the same color as the headliner molding.  I'm fairly certain those are all original.  I should add, this is for a coupe.

The Color interior parts are notorious for not matching.
I had blue and red interior cars which I thought were sun faded and after removing and inspecting the backs of the seat panels etc I realized they were just off from the factory...

Tried to post photos of what I ended up with in color. Appears to be a problem with the load time or size..

See if this works. If it does visors are original, first time off of car , and the pad is redone matching the color to a portion that wasn't sun exposed
