Good afternoon!!
Trying to de-code my fan spacers and I see in your CRG Tables for 67-69 units, you show a 3927792 as being correct for '69 V8 engines.. I have a 3927793 in front of me..
Wonder if the table is wrong and this unit should be what I am looking at presently i.e. 3927793.
Not trying to be a smart a$$ gentlemen, but, so much mal-information exists now.
The above number could just be a typing error or maybe the numbers are good???
Thanks!

According to the Assembly Manual, 3927792 is correct for V8s. What is the length of your spacer? The '792 is 1 inch long.

I have mine at 2 - 1/4" measured from one of the 4 bolt towers to the bottom of the spacer.. I did not measure from the nub on the middle of the spacer that goes through the fan itself. Double checked the number and I get 793 again..

The table is right. The AIM shows 3927792 being a V8 and 3927794 being the L6. I have one off of an L6 and it's 3927794. Seems simple.
But the parts manuals are unclear on the 69 Camaro L6 part.
691A - 3927793 L6 (wrong and no mention of Camaro V8)
P&A34 - 3927793 69 Nova 350 and 69 Chevelle
P&A30 - 3927793 69 Nova 350 and 69 Chevelle and 70 Chevelle L6
Neither P&A mentions the 69 Camaro L6 application.

Ted,
My P&A list the application for your 3927793 fan spacer as follows...
69 Chevy w/ reg. fuel (350) (exc. C.A.C., A.T.)
69 Chevelle (exc. C.A.C., A.T., Fan Drive, 396)

Except for Z28, L78, L89, L72, & ZL1 V8s.

Yes, you're correct, those engines don't use fixed fans and therefore don't use a fan spacer.

Thought I'd struck gold as my '68 L35 engine is lacking its fan and spacer. Sure I've got 'em, but can't find the sum-beez.
Must've been a nightmare to keep track of all the parts numbers and casting numbers back in the days of trays 'n trays of keypunch cards daily being fed into the main CPU.
Thanks gentlemen!!

I was lucky to find the correct fan spacer for my 68 L35 at a swap meet years ago. Not an easy piece to find.

Are you saying the 793 is not easy to find?
-
No, I've never looked for a 793 so I don't know how difficult it is to find one.
The one for my car is a 3857042.
