Hello everyone, new to this site. Currently looking to purchase a car but i have a question that has came up about the trim tag. Looking for some help from anyone that knows.
My question is this: The car is a 67 rs-ss. According to the trim tag the car is highly optioned. The trim tag actually almost looks too good to be true based on the number of options. The car trim tag shows the car is a 4N car but also shows the car is a 2E (air conditioning). Now I am under the impression that air conditioning was not available with the 396 engines. In talking with some people I am getting different answers, that air conditioning was available on the 4N but not the 4K, and others are saying it was not available on either. Also, I did some checking inside the car and am kinda confused by what I found there too. The car has the middle air vents which the air conditioning cars had but it doesnt have an air conditioning option on the selector area where it says heat, vent, and all that.
Any info would be very helpful. Thanks.

Post a picture of the trim tag and let the experts look at it. In the mean time take a look at this and read the other information that pertains to the car in the header on the CRG home page.

It's a fake tag. Couldn't get a 396 with AC.

Nope, in 1967 you couldn't order A/C in a Camaro with a big block or Z/28 engine.

There was a lengthy discussion about this car on Team Camaro back in 2006.

That TT counterfeiter must have been a slacker - he could have included a couple more possible options ;)
