I have the originals off the low mile 69 Z I am restoring and the repros are nowhere close to correct. The originals are manufactured from coated brown kraft paper.
I have located a company who can coat the paper and diecut the shields, I am now trying to guage interest to figure out if this will be economically feasible, the first ones would be for 68-69 Camaro Coupes.
The price will be equal to or less than the currently available product (Mylar) which is nowhere close to correct.
I appreciate any input and or comments,
Thanks

Now I know why I was losing my mind. This was on TC too and when I looked on there my post wasn't there, because it was on here. Whew.
-
I'm in for a set of '67 standards.
-
If you do go ahead with the project I'd be interested in a 69 deluxe set.
Thanks, Rick

I would be interested in a pair of these. Mine would be for a power window, not sure where they ran the wiring through, with respect to the standard vs deluxe window crank locations.
Thanks,
Rod.

Anything going on with this??
I need a set. The Mylar ones that I purchased aren't even close to fitting properly....
I've got a 69 with standard interior.
-
I would still be interested in a standard '67 set also.
-
PMed Firstgenaddict to see if he is still working on project.

Did the door watershield project ever come through?
I would be interested in a set.

I bought some from Rick's a long time ago. I thought they were just like the originals, but I don't have any to go by. Mine are black on one side and brown on the other and seem to be made of the paper like originals.

Have you thought about just using 15 lb roofing felt (tar paper). It's a lot cheaper.
