Title: Removing front clip- best procedure
Post by: SMoon67 on July 13, 2010, 08:46:57 PM
I'm about to remove the front clip from my 67.  I need to redo some things that the body shop got a little sloppy on.  Anyway, since the car has been painted I'm a bit nervous about removing body parts, much less the whole front clip.

Can some of you tell me the best procedure for removing the thing.  I'm assuming it would be best to remove the entire clip as a unit.  I'd feel better getting advice from those who have done it before rather than wing it.  I know some of you have done it many times.

Thanks.

Take it off the same way the plant put it on, in reverse. Drain the coolant, disconnect the radiator hoses and everything between the front clip and the firewall, remove the bumper, remove the hood, remove the fender-to-body bolts, and pull it off.   :)

Thanks John.  I hope it's as easy as it looks.
