Title: '68 RS console For Caracas Camaro
Post by: alex68rs on June 15, 2010, 01:16:10 AM
Hi CRG members
My Caracas Camaro console have three hole in the driver side of it. I don't think  that someone cut these hole to put some accessories there because they are pretty well done. I think it is original, but not sure at 100%. Did someone have info on this. There's a close shot of my console.

Thanks
Alex

I will agree that it looks like a job done with some type of tooling.
But I can't think of any reason for the factory to do that....

That's a first.
No, the console is not a commodity. It would have been in the CKD kit.

Looking closely at the front corners of the rectangular hole, it appears they are not a perfect 90 degree angle as you would expect from something GM did.  Maybe just a fairly decent cut job by a previous owner.  No clue what may have been attached there.
