Title: 1969 Detroit Motor Show cutaway car
Post by: L22K19 on March 23, 2010, 10:54:05 AM
Does any body have any photos of the rotating stand which the cutaway display car sat on. The basic photo's published in books are not enough.

I found the car here in a wrecking yard in Australia in 1999 and I "may" have found the stand that goes with it. A lot of the stories surrounding  the stand seem to match up but would like to try and verify it some way.

I believe the car ended up at Rick's First Gen. Can anybody varify where it is now and who own's it?

Thanks

At spring Carlisle in 2006, I ran into a guy selling Camaro parts. As we talked, he claimed to have one of these cars. (I got the impression there was more than one?) He had a three ring binder with several pictures. I MAY still have his business card.
