Title: What?
Post by: 67 Sinner on April 12, 2006, 04:55:20 AM
HI!
 ???
I've tried to decode my rearaxle and engine #, but it doesn't make any sense..

The rearaxle-"house" number is: N 1235542 B
and the axle has JA G 17 8 4

The block has two numbers stamped almost over eachother: T072IHO and 7016177

The car is a 67 camaro coupe 327. I've been told that the engine and rearaxle is'nt original to the car, and I know that the transmission is not original. Would be very thankful for every answer that would help me solve this..

I can't help with the axle decode but here is the decode for the engine:
T072IHO = assembled July 21. Could be either a 1965 327/300 w/pwrgld (Corvette) or 1969 350/300 B-body.

Must be the passenger car 350 - all Corvette small-blocks were built at Flint.  :)

Axle is from an early 70's Nova.
