i need some good advice on wht color to paint my 67 ragtop. the interior is the deluxe turquoise,and is in excellent shape. the top is white. i was going to put a black top on but have decided to go with the white as it is also in great shape. here is my question. is anyone familiar with 67 or other first gens that came with the turq interior? what would be a good color for the body and dash with a white top and turq interior. It is a clone rs ss with a zz4 crate engine. because it is not original i am thinking of putting the z stripes on the car.,perhaps white. please any and all suggestions are appreciated. i need your help. ??? ???

What was the origional color,KK or CC? Here's a pic of KK ragtop w/ turqoise gut. http://www.69pace.com/paint1967emeraldturquoise.htm The blue BB stripe on the white car above is wrong, color and dimension. What do you mean the dash paint? Maintain the interior color scheme for the dash. Rally stripes don't look good on SS hoods. Rally stripes are overused and belong on the cars for which they were intended, unless it's an over the top custom.

Thanks guys. That is a great combo and what the car looks like now except it has the rally stripes. the original color was tahoe turquoise. The dashtop and face is also white with a turq dash pad. I am not big on the white dash. I forgot to mention the car has a gm cowl induction hood, front and rear spoiler. I would notcall it over the top custom but with the zz4 and stripes it is a mild custom. More input please/

If you're a big fan of Blue, back in late 70's early 80's Corvette had a extremely lite Blue. I think it was sky Blue but don't quote me on that. Anyway girlfriend had one and it looked good IMO with darker Blue interior.

A turquoise gut will only look right with a blue with a similar hue. Any deviation will look inappropriate.

white or turquoise. those are my options. ok i can work with that. i was also thinking of 2010 camaro cyber grey. anyone out there with a 67 with a turquoise gut that could help?

This is a great color and would look great with that interior.
I would not suggest putting Z stripes on it though. Everyone does that and you have a unique color combination that Z stripes would actually detract from. Try the SS style stripe as shown above. Especially since it's a SS clone....

I agree with Kurt. I had a 68 RS/SS with this combo and it stood out everywhere...Beautiful

Yes it's metallic. TahoeTurquois is PPG code PPG 43659. It would look nice with that gut. It's a rich, striking color compared to Emerald. Greater body to interior contrast. But that's an opinion.

Not really. Most people did not order colored and deluxe interiors.
