How much can you lower a camaro before it effects the wheels turning? is there a size that's better than others? I want to put 17 x 8 on the front and 17 x 9 on the rear. also on the frame, should all of the bushings be replaced? how will i know which ones are bad? does anyone suggest going to a different type of suspension or stick with leaf springs? Thanks Guy's!

If one bushing is bad replace them all. Dryrotted/cracking is indicative of replacement time. You'll probably get a faster answer on maximum aftermarket wheel and tire sizes, as well as non-stock suspension uprades at Team Camaro. Including but not limited to lowering springs, solid or poly subframe bushings and which combinations allow maximum tire size. More popular there.

15 x 8s can rub on a stock 68 set up, so you will have to work that out. Sauron327 is right, Team Camaro is a better place to look for non-stock answers.
