Is the rubber gromet on the drivers side (PCV valve) angle cut or round like the other side? Also assembly line PCV valve, does it have AC Spark Plug on it or just something like AC 105? The PCV valve also had a D underneath on the plunger that moves. Thanks, Sam

Same square grommets on both sides, no angles, still available from GM. I'll have to check valves when I return home.

I purchased a real old set of covers. Look to be 69 vintage and the grommets are hardned. The one on the drivers side is an angle type while the other is round. Maybe changed real early on or different venders? Thanks for the answer. See you at the Dutch! Sam

The grommets on my '69Z are the originals, and they're flat (not angled).
-
Does anyone have the part # for the grommets used on a 68 Z. My GM parts manual shows the 69 -302 part # as 3946862 ,but it does not show the 67 or 68 Z part #
-
When I got mine they were just the round ones. I looked in Classic Muscle and couldn't find a listing for 67-68.
-
Not sure what year you're talking about, but the original ones on my '68 Z/28 are both round.

John can you post a picture?

Yup - photos below.

When I was involved in the Camaro business '83-'97 the '69 grommet was serviced under #3989348.

So the grommets are the same for 68 and 69 302 cars?
-
Here is 68ZProjects link that shows his 68Z and my 68Z looks the same as his and the are not the same as a 1969Z, I guess maybe they made a change with the aluminum valve covers.....

Yes my 68 Z also has the round grommets. In my GM parts guide from my Grandfathers old dealership it lists the square grommets for 1969 cars but does not list 1968 302 cars.

'68 302 and 350 grommets were always round. The part number has changed and the grommet available today is ever so slightly different in the top radius but very, very close to OEM.

Thanks Jerry and good luck with the 67 at the Dutch Classic next weekend. Paul

Hey John, are those dated replacement wires or originals?

They're dated replacements.

How about the PCV valves? Assembly line different that the OTC ones. I have a couple I believe to be assembly line originals and neither say AC Delco Spark Pug on them. Are they one piece steel or two piece with the seam in the middle? Any pictures? I am refering to a 69 350/300 motor. Thanks, Sam

What's the new part number for the '68 302/350 grommets? Thank you.
