Title: Roof Insulation - 69 Camaro
Post by: woodtech on October 04, 2009, 11:42:51 PM
Just wondering what other people have done or used after media blasting the roof insulation off. I'm doing a complete resto and didn't want to chance not seeing what was underneath that felt type liner. It appears to have been installed at GM prior to the roof support being welded. Yes, I know you won't see the roof after the headliner is installed but I would like it to be as correct as possible.

I ordered some dense felt from McMaster-Carr. I beleive it was 1/4" thick. I gluded the roof supports to the top with structural adhesive. Then cut 4 panels of the felt and gluded them on with contact adhesive.
