Just wanted to let everyone know that Motorweek did an interview with me last month. It's all about bringing the Camaro back into production and they spot lighted my '67 Z28 survivor. Craig Singhaus did the interview and is local to my area, Maryland. Show will air on Oct 10, 2009. I have no idea how everything turned out as I have not seen the finished product. It was a long day of shooting when they were here.
I would have preferred them using the new 67 Z28 race car and a 10 second pass down the race track but that's not what they wanted.

suppose to air 10-10 and 10-15,
"On The High Road w/Craig Singhaus"

Looks like it won't be shown in my area. :(
Heaven forbid it bumps 'The Lawrence Welk Show'. ::)

You can read a little about the Mortorweek interview with Jerry at:

Will they also post the episode on line for those of us without PBS?

Unfortunately it appears that none of the PBS channels available to me in this area of Canada have any listings for Motorweek for this weekend - or any other timeframe for that matter.
Speedchannel has a Motorweek listing for this Saturday morning, early though, and I will tune in to see if this is the same program as it appears at least name-wise to be. With any luck it will be and with some more luck maybe the programming will be current with yours in the US and it will be carrying your interview.
Sucks to live here in Canada sometimes as we get such crap for TV viewing especially with regards to motorsports. Faithfully and constantly we are fed garbage such as Pimp My Ride, Liv'n the Low Life, and Monster Jam, but we have to tune in days later in the middle of the afternoon or night to watch any of the previous weekend's NHRA drag Racing - go figure.... Guess it's so our wonderful Canadian TV content isn't going to be threatened?! No wonder TV signal stealing is such a big business in Canada... The Canadian Radio and Television Commission isn't bright enough to understand that we as Canadians are interested in stuff other than just what goes on or is produced in Canada in french or homey CBC programming and that they have created the problem and are making it worse...
Thanks for the 'heads up' Jerry

It looks like it plays a week later on the Speed Channel.
-
Thanks, have it scheduled to record from speedchannel.

Just checked the Motorweek schedule here and the show comes on at 5:00 PM, channel 22 WMPT on the Comcast system here.

In the Detroit area, it's on at 10:00 AM on Sunday, on WTVS (PBS station). If you go to http://www.mpt.org/motorweek/stationlist.shtml , there's a listing by state and city of the stations that broadcast the show, and the time they show it.
-
Thank you Jerry for re-posting this...And JOHNZ...great site for looking up listings by state....GOOD JOB!
-
Congrats, nice segment Jerry, but I wish it was longer.
They could easily devote the entire 1/2 hour to that car and we still wouldn't get bored

And we spent ALL DAY on a hot 90+ degree July day shooting this.

I was away for the weekend so I set my PVR to record Motorweek. I have Rogers cable TV here in Toronto and they provide PBS out of Buffalo NY. When I watched it they had a brief description at the beginning of the show about each story they had. There was no mention about Camaros. I fast forward it until I saw a Camaro near the end of the show. It was a preview of next weeks show. I guess I’ll have to set the PVR for this Saturday and see it then.

Does anyone know which TV station and cable service will run Motorweek in the Saginaw, MI area? Ben Wenzel wants to see the show this week and he told me that he could not find a listing this past weekend. I think Ben told me he's on the Charter network. I know that the show will run here again on Thursday night, Oct 15 at 8:30 PM.
On another note, I took the blue Z up to the AACA museum in Hershey, PA yesterday. They are having a special Camaro exibit now through April, 2010. That will be a nice place to store the car for the winter. The Otis Chander ZL-1 was there when we arrived yesterday.
Thanks,
Jerry

Any idea what stations carry the Motorweek show in Long Island, NY? I am up here this week and wanted to let some family members know about it too.
Can't seem to find it.

Try Speed Channel if you get it. 10:30 Friday, repatimg 7:00 Sat. The listing says it's about the 10 Camaro and the Camaro history. Won't know until then if it's the right episode. I'm on Direct TV
