Your Protect-O-Plate (POP) is on Ebay...
Full VIN: 12437L756152 (mis-stamp?)*
Seller id: chetcoeffect
Seller location: Brookings, OR
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320414968711&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:MOTORS:1123
* The seller double-checked the VIN and the number above is what is stamped on the POP and written in the warranty booklet. It probably should have been 12437L156152.

Sure looks like 7L156152 on the booklet to me!

I agree, but this is what the seller said after rechecking...
Aug-24-09
Question: Hi - Could you please recheck the VIN? The number you listed can't be right. Thanks!
Answer: The book shows Vehicle Serial Number 124377L756152. When I look at the metal plate with the reverse printing it shows 124377L756152 R. Does this look correct? There are several other sets of reversed numbers on the metal plate as well. I can get these if they will help. Thanks!

I asked. He posted a picture. It's 7L156152.

You're right Kurt! Good idea to ask for a photo of the POP. I can see how the seller was mistaken after looking at the attached photo...
