Title: 69 Camaro - Ignition Coil - 270 vs 298
Post by: rockphil on June 11, 2009, 12:35:58 AM
What is the functional difference between the Ignition Coil installed on 69 Camaro's with Cowl Induction Hood vs Igntion Coils installed w/o Cowl Induction Hood? I have a 69 Camaro with an aftermarket Cowl Induction Hood and System. The Ignition Coil is a 298 ( without cowl induction).

The coil is the same. SB ducted hood cars used the mounting bracket from the 65-67 275/327 to clear the larger air cleaner. The coil & bracket was received as an assembly at the plants so the part number was different.
