Thanks guys for confirming this.
Bob,
I owe you some info, but am working on something that I think will be great. I have a lead on some paperwork that has the complete installation for the factory/dealer to install the 1967/1968 model cruise system. I am hoping he will call me back this afternoon and strike a deal. If I can buy the paperwork I will email you good copies and post them on here. It appears to have the precedure documented in step by step assembly illustartaions including a scaled diagram showing where mounting hole locations need to be fitted for proper installation.
This is where the questions was coming from, to confirm that I correctly referred to the group # for 68 so he can confirm he has the corrcet paperwork.

Cheers,
John

Text is the same as above for my 1969 P&A.

Ed & Phillip, what are your revision dates on your P&A's?

My revision date is 2-15-69

Bob:
"P&A34 Revised October 1, 1967" and "P&A30 Revised October 1, 1967"  Both say speed and cruise control...
As does the P&A30A Revised October, 1972

John:
Sounds great, hope it works out...

Ed,Phillip,
I was just wondering when GM made the revisions to the P&A, looks like Oct.
Thanks for the reply.
Phillip,
If you ever decide to part with one of your 67 P&A's , I am interested.
John,
Gladly help with the cost if you can strike a deal.

The paper work is enroute. I do not know if it comes with a Build of Materials (BOM) etc. For more info pic see in post for 'Original Cruise and Speed Control Unit Kit'

Does the 1968 P & A have a complete parts and part # list for this system?

Bob, Thanks for the offer. I think that you will be pleased when the package arrives...

Cheers

Can someone with a 1968 P & A scan the page pertaining to the Cruise and Speed System and email it to me?

I would like to compare that list to everything in the box when it arrives.

If a 1967 version is available I would like to cross reference to that as well to confrim the changes etc to the system for the second model year.

I am surprised to hear that it is listed in 1969 referneces, as the system was not a factory option in that year.

Thanks for all the help.

John -

My 1969 Chevrolet P&A has part numbers in it for 1967, 1968, and 1969 Camaros!

Paul - If you get time - Can you email me a scan of the cruise section in your 69 P&A to compare with the 67 I got from Phillip?
I would like to cross reference it.

Phillip has pointed out that the P&A part #s may differ from the Factory part #s as they were meant for service. I did not realize that but it is very good to know.
I also did not realize that they had part #s for all three years in the 69.

Thanks all for being so helpful.

John,
Also try to get Paul to send the cruise control section from his 68 P&A as the 69 P&A may have had some of the service numbers updated.

By the 72 P&A, some parts for 67 and 68 had the same #, but in the 67 P&A they do not.  It would definitely be helpful to have the 69 info from Paul.

Does anyone know if the REV. date on a P&A is a revision for that model year or new model year parts books that were revised from the previous years  ???? Just wondering as most P&A,s have a rev. dated around Oct (?).

Paul,
Thanks so much. I will use this and Phillips to help identify the differences in the systems.

John,

I would like to know the differences, if you would please post them.  As I said above, later some had the same service part #.  Since they did I would guess that the early #s were different but the parts were close enough (or really the same) that they could interchange.

Phillip,
No problem at all. It will take some time however.

I plan on posting the info once completed documenting it. I am only concerned with the following systems at the moment, mostly due to availability.
1968 - Dealer Installation
1968 - Factory Installation
1967 - Factory Installation

I have no information available at the moment for the 1967 Dealer Installation. At the moment it is assumed to be the same as the 1968 Dealer Install excluding the minor changes that were made to all systems between the spring of 67 and spring of 68.

I will gather all this inforamtion together and share it back. I will need to check in with Bob as well as he is sure to have some good input. ;)

I will include the production stamp placements and finish of all parts documented and confirmed with four different systems that I know of.
I'll send the instructions over to you tonight.
