Title: Corbin style wire heater hose clamps for my 1968 Camaro
Post by: stovebolt on May 29, 2009, 01:34:20 PM
What is the correct inside diameter of the Corbin style wire clamps originally installed on first generation Camaro heater hoses?. There is one size for the 5/8" ID heater hose, and another for 3/4" ID heater hose. Also, were the clamps originally colour-coded? Thanks.

The info I have says yes to the size and yes to the color.  The 5/8 is a gold or bronze kind of color and the 3/4 kind of reddish.

Sorry, I probably didn't make myself clear in my first post. I need to know the correct inside diameters of NEW Corbin style wire clamps to fit the 5/8" and 3/4" inside diameter heater hoses. Thanks, Joe.

I'd have to take mine off for that so I'll have to defer to someone that has one off, sorry.

The Corbin clamp for the 5/8" hose is 3/4" I.D., and the one for the 3/4" hose is 7/8" I.D.
