I have Part # 387660 on a waterneck installed on a 1968 350 ss.
The assembly manual shows a throttle return spring going back to a bracket attached to the coil holder.
However the water neck has a tab with a hole in it for what looks like a spring attachment location that I am not using.
Do I have the wrong water neck or is the throttle spring run the wrong way?
Or did GM not use the tab in certain applications.
Any help is appreciated.

That 660 thermostat housing was used on many applications that didn't use the hole in the tab; my '67 Corvette and '69 Z/28 also use it, and neither uses the tab.

John- Awesome. Thanks for the feedback. I was sure I had the throttle correct for the application but that tab always made me wonder.
Cheers,
John
