I have done some research on the 15 X 6 Rally Wheels. I pretty sure the correct 15 X 6 Rally's for a '67 Z/28 were coded DF. I have 3, not a matched set, that are coded DC as follows: K17 12 (stem) 7 DC
K18 4 (stem) 24 DC
K18 8 (stem) 20 DC
From research I have done I believe that the first Wheel codes out, Dec. 7 -67. #2 Wheel I believe is Apr. 24 -68. #3 Wheel Aug. 20 -68. I have found information that the 15 X 6 DC code was used on Corvettes in '66 & '67, but I believe that Corvette went to 15 X 8 Wheels in '68, which these wheels code out to be. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks!

The "DC" rally wheel was used in 1968 on the full size Chevrolet passenger car.

The "DC" rally wheel was the standard wheel on the '67 Corvette (in addition to full-size cars and station wagons with disc brakes); the ones you show are service replacements made in '77, '74, and '68. The '67 "DC" wheels weren't rim-dated. '68 Corvettes used 7" AG rallys, and '69-'82 used 8" AZ rallys.

OK, I hope this works I am going to try to attach a photo.(http://) I did some closer searching on the outside of the rim (between the beads) and found these stampings. Would be on the back half of center, nearer the bead. Would service replacements have had this Kelsey Hayes logo on them? Also, you can see fairly clearly that this wheel is stamped with a 12 & a 67, this is the wheel I thought was a Dec. 67 wheel. I can also make out a 4 & a 68 on the wheel that I thought was an Apr. 68. The third wheel also has this same logo with a small A & a 8 stamped under the 15 X 6 JK. the A & the 8 are stamped at various angles compared to the straight line of the 15 X 6 JK. Do these stampings add any clarity to the date codes? ThanX!

The "12" and "67" say that wheel was made in December, 1967, and the others were made in '68; didn't come off a '67 Corvette, as the model year ended in July, 1967. Most likely they're off a '68-'70 passenger car with disc brakes, as the '67 Corvette 'DC" wheels only had the "DC" stamped adjacent to the valve stem hole (no visible dates on the outside of the rim).

Yup those are Impala wheels. If you will not be using them, I am looking for DC rally wheels for my 68 and 69 Impalas, which all have disc brakes.

Sorry Warren, I do plan to use them. My plan is to build my car to a Z/28 "tribute/resto-mod". And I plan to use 2 of these on the front, and 1 in the trunk. I plan to use 15 X 8's on the rear.

FYI, the "DC" wheel and the "DF" wheel have different offsets.

Hi Paul, it was my understanding that the JK code at the end of the 15 X 6 JK, was the rim profile. And from info. I have the DF wheel also has the JK profile. I understand that the offset or backspacing could be different, do you know how much? FYI; I'm assuming you looked at my reply above as to (I intend to use these wheels) and how I intend to build this car. At this point I'm not planning on putting original Dual Piston Brake Calipers on the car(I'm planning to use an available kit), will this make any difference? I have maintained all along that I don't intend to pass this off as an original Z/28, one look at the Cowl tag anyone with any Camaro knowlege will know this car was built too early to be a original Z. The '68 "DC" wheel has a offset of .06"
The '68 "DF" wheel has a offset of .50"

Thanks Paul, I understand what you are saying about offset. The back of the center of the wheel (where it mounts to the hub), is almost "on center" .06 isn't much. Whereas .50 is a half inch. I guess I understand "backspacing" better than I do offset, in sense of #'s. So is it .44" more backspace? Or .44" less backspace? Thanks again. Mike

It's 0.44" more backspace. Offset is the dimension between the plane of the centerline of the rim and the plane of the wheel mounting surface; Positive offset means the wheel mounting surface is closer to the outboard side of the rim, and negative offset means the wheel mounting surface is closer to the inboard side of the rim. The illustration below shows the relationships of wheel measurements.
