I have the original protect-o-plate and warranty book for my 67 C10 and it has tape with GM on it and it is the same color as with most I remember ,

The customer's name/address etc. was done with the Dymo mirror-image imprinting wheel, but not on the clear with blue "GM" logo tape; maybe they ran out of the GM tape that day.

Those dymo labels were done by the dealerships; I've seen several different colors used.... (How many different dealerships were there?) :)

There were over 6,000 Chevy dealers in those days; wouldn't be unrealistic to think that some would run out of the special clear "GM" Dymo tape occasionally.
