Can someone post a picture of an original 1967 underhood lamp.
it has a single mounting hole, and functions in reverse.
I would like to see the backside where the wire comes out.
Thanks ???

Give me a few days and I will check mine.

I have one in my parts bin. I may put it on for the heck of it. Where does it plug in gentlemen? I do not possess a schematic.

or is this it?
I always thought that this was the one?

It's taped, strapped, and clipped to the engine harness across the firewall and to the forward lamp harness on the driver's side inner fender, and the terminal goes under a screw connection on the horn relay.

Looks like I can use either one and just claim it is original?
Seems no one from this site will know the difference.
Funny.
I will choose lamp A as my original light.
Then I can just keep the other in it's original box

Jeff the one I thought was like the Nova one you have is not. The mounting bracket is different but the socket wire is the same, on all the lights I have. Perhaps your boxed light is OTC?

Picture posted on pacecarjeff's is correct. Believe lamp socket and shroud are all the same , but brackets are different. Bill

Jeff, let me correct my post. not the new in box lamp , but your original picture of the nova takeoff is the correct lamp. Sorry for ther confusion. Bill

Jeff,
I have a 69 lamp and could take a picture if it would help you. I would need your e-mail .

No the 68 and 69 lamp is different.
67 was a 1 year only that had only one mounting screw - it also faced the other way and worked backwards.
the back (the wire connection) is what I am concerned about - I am finding some discrepancies.
below is an original underhood lamp which went into production in 68
The 68 and 69 lamps were very common as they were used for many years - well into the mid 70's with no design change - it has 2 mounting screws.

Thanks - that is what I believe also. Still leaves me with a few questions -
the boxed NOS unit shows a part number that was for 57-59 Chevrolet full size.
but the design is what I would have expected for 67?
It may just be that a different vendor was used during that 1967 time period.
