Title: Mirror Date Code

Paragon has a pretty good reproduction and they'll even date the glass!

Is it typicial for the non-remote mirrors to be dated that early? Also, have you ever seen a mirror with DCA & a little R in a circle right after the A between the numbers?

I can't imagine how anyone could argue with a February-dated mirror on an 02D car.

Must have made the mirrors in batches; my Oct 68 10B Z has same date; 9DMI8

Any info on this? Observed on later GM replacement mirrors.

Post by: bertfam on March 17, 2009, 03:37:58 AM: We believe DCA is Donnelly Corporation of America. Donnelly changed names a few times over the years and Donnelly Corp was one of them starting in 1984. The R in a circle is a "Registered" trade mark.

FYI, My 12B Norwood X66 (Dec.68) has a 10 DMI 8 D33 mirror
