The tag is as follows:
General Motors Corporation
PR-405578
ST 8T-12437 6 Body
TR 254-Z G-G Paint
2L 4S
Body by Fisher
Can someone tell me what this is. It came off a 67 Camaro RS/SS, well the car looks mostly factory and has RS front end and a SS hood. I have looked at CRG decoder and can not figure it out. PLEASE HELP!!!

Welcome! Please post a photo of the tag...that will help.

ok I will post a picture tonight. I posted it world for world on the form from before. Thanks!

We really need a picture of the cowl tag. Some of the numbers don't look correct.
This could be interesting.
Please advise what you know about the car. ie 4spd man, convert, eng etc.

I will have pictures of the cowl tag on here by 6pm (est) today, please stay tuned.

Here is the picture of the cowl tag. The car has a clutch pedal(trans. gone and motor), big block heater box, front wheel dics brakes and two proportioning values(maybe rear dics brakes but rear end is gone), factory air, R/S front end, SS hood, steering clolum has no shifter(floor shift), the car is gold and had 6 inch stripe at the back that ran to a point at the front, grab bar on the dash, has multi leaf springs and manual steering. Thats about all I know off the top of my head. Does this help? Tell me it's a keeper!!!

Tell me it's a keeper!!!
Personally I would pass on ANY car with the cowl tag removed!

Unfortunately no, doesn't look like anything I've ever seen on a Camaro before.

PR - Prototype? Look at the body number (6). What's the VIN on this car??
Kurt will have to look at this one!

vin was gone when i got the car.
The VIN is gone and the cowl tag is off... RUN!
Have you checked for a partial VIN in the two "hidden" locations? Here's where you should look... http://www.camaros.org/numbers.shtml#PartialVIN

Post a picture of the car. (several)

Partial VIN's are critical here. Without them, we're just guessing.
254 is Parchment interior (standard) code for a Firebird.
4S is a code used on full-size.
I have no clue at this point without some more info.....
Any date codes off of the sheetmetal (it will be like T23, stamped on almost ever piece of metal)?

ok so i'm on the hunt for hidden numbers, get back to ya'll tomorrow night about 6:00 with some more info, thanks alot for the help. ;D

It would have to sell for a very good price to consider. I agree with the others, RUN. But it will be interesting to trace it more.

Is that even a Camaro Cowl tag? If so, that's very strange and could be a very rare find. I wonder if it came off the body you have.
