Title: How early was carb date vs. build date of car?
Post by: KevinK on March 12, 2006, 11:34:29 PM
...for example, ...with a '68 build 3rd week April (04C), ...what was the typical date of the carb ...relative to the car's build?, ...and/or how early would be too early a date on a carb? (let's day for that same 04C built car)

           Thanks,
                       Kevin

Carbs were typically dated 2-6 weeks prior to the car's final assembly date. I don't know about Camaro originality judging, but the NCRS allows full judging credit for dated components up to six months prior to a Corvette's final assembly date.
