Are the rear Z bumper guards the same size as rear bumper guards for other 69 Camaros?
Are the front bumper guards shorter than the Z rear guards?
Thanks
-
They are not "Z" rear bumper guards. Because of lower rear trim height Z/28 equipment included V32 rear bumper guards to comply with federal bumper height standards. They were optional; any 69 Camaro could be ordered with them. I believe they were also included with heavy-duty rear springs.

John,
Can you elaborate more on "lower trim height". Was the rear of the car's height significantly different for multi-leafs vs mono-leaf?
Thanks
-
Rear trim height dimension "D" is the distance from the top center of the rear axle to the bottom of the frame rail. Of all variants listed in the manual Z/28 is the lowest at 5.20" nominal. Cars with G31 rear springs are the highest at 6.29", 6.30", 6.38". All measurements are +/- .38".
Z/28 also has the lowest front trim height.
This info is in section O page A10 of the Assembly Instruction Manual.

Thanks William. I don't have The AIM. In the parts inventory for Camaro, was there 2 (or more) sets of multi-leaf, say 4-leaf, that were arched different to determine the ride height with one specific to The Z/28 and another specific to non Z's that required mult-leaf due to options installed?
Sorry for mistakenly calling you John in my previous question. Too much reading sometimes.

Not according to our information-all Z/28s received 'BM' rear springs no matter how the car was configured. There were 3 possible front springs.
Other '69s have been known to use a 4-leaf spring but it may have been a different part number/assembly code.
Check the info on this site.
