I forgot to say my car is a 69

Al Knock interiors are the only deluxe door panels made. Strap in for the price! They have almost doubled since the fuel costs went up last spring.

what about the OER/Classic.they have a new builder in Nevada I heard.are the Al Knocks panels any good?

I went through the same thing with my 68 deluxe door panels (basically the same as yours). I never got any positive feedback about the newer reproduction panels. I tried a few sets of the older repros, but the fit was poor at best, and the moldings & trim didn't fit well. I ended up getting a set of fairly decent original GM panels, then I had them professionally repaired & re-dyed. I then installed new carper and they look great. If yours are in good shape, I say freshen them up with a re-spray. You can do it yourself with SEM Landau Black spray vinyl dye.

Will Just dashes cover them? seems like they could, it would be PRICEY though!

Never thought of that, but you would think it could be a possibility. Don't know if the cardboard backing of a door panel vs. metal backing of a dash would make any difference?

Dave they do door panels for 69 Pon GP... many Chryslers etc. They do head rests and A pillars as well.

I had a set redone by justdashes for my 69z.They look ok ,but the edges are thick and some of the detail is gone. Very expensive and a long wait. John

Just say no to Just Dashes. We have had some 68 Camaro dash pads done and they look like they're on steroids when they come back. You will not get full credit in national judging with one of these steroid dash pads. NG!
Merry Christmas,

Same here, have had two (69 and 70) GTO pads done by them. About a grand and have to wait a while, but not many other options out there.
-
If restoring a dash pad is your only option because there are no originals left anywhere, then you have no choice, but in the world of Camaro dash pads, NG, NG, NG. Don't believe me, come see me at the Camaro nationals and I'll be glad to show you what I mean. There will be a 68 Z28 at the show in '09 with one. It looks like twice the size as a std oem dash pad.

oh I believe you Jerry, I would think they would have got it right because really on a GTO dash pad they have it right, not too puffy... dash pads that look like a fat lip would be out of place on a 68. they have clean tight curves on 68's.
