Does anyone know how much antifreeze and water are needed to fill a 1968 z28 rad and engine block from empty. I was not sure of the mixture ratio. Thanks

It doesn't get that cold here but I've always mixed mine 50/50 as that was the easiest and I think it took about 3 gals or so. I have an empty gal and fill it up half way with the full gal and then fill them both up with water. If you pour in one undiluted gal, then you can use that as the empty.

Thanks that is what I was thinking. I was not sure if more antifreeze was better or if I should keep it 50/50

Just keep in mind that a mixture of antifreeze and water has a lower freezing temp than 100% antifreeze. I remember reading somewhere, like maybe on the antifreeze container, that 70/30 (antifreeze to water) gives lowest freezing temp?

Don't know where you are located. In NJ the common mix is 50/50. Farther north may call for call for more antifreeze, farther south should be able to use less. Far enough south would not need antifreeze, but most anti freeze includes anti-corrosion, also rather important.

I am in Ontario Canada it gets cold here ,I think I will go 70/30 to be safe.
